5th Refugee Interpreters Recruitment Application Period: Mon, May 26, 2025 ~ Sun, June 8, 2025 Application Website: moj.passon.co.kr


1. What is a Refugee Interpreter? A Refugee Interpreter is an individual proficient in a foreign language, recognized as suitable for performing refugee interpretation, and who has completed the training course prescribed by the Minister of Justice. Those finally certified will be commissioned as a Refugee Interpreter for three years starting from January 2026. 2. How Do I Become a Refugee Interpreter? You must undergo the following process: (1) Screening Test (June) Refugee Interpreter applicants will be interviewed to evaluate language proficiency. (2) Customized Training (July–August) A proficiency-based customized training will be offered to screening test passers. (3) Final Certification Test (September) A final certification test will be taken by training completers, which determines official certification as a Refugee Interpreter. 3. How Can I Apply?
