Enactment and Enforcement of Guidelines on Refugee Appeal Process

- Guidelines (Established Rules) created to Enhance Transparency and Fairness of the Refugee Appeal System -

In order to increase transparency and fairness with regard to the refugee appeal process, the Ministry

of Justice  established Guidelines on Refugee Appeal Process (hereinafter referred to as “the Guidelines”), 

which will be in effect as of October 11,2022.

The Ministry aims to conduct the refugee appeal process more systematically and transparently by enacting 

and disclosing the Guidelines, which contain specific work procedures and standards concerning appeals against 

decision of non-recognition of refugee status and etc.stipulated in Article 21 of the Refugee Act, as established rules.
